RIFLE SCOPES FOR EVERY OCCASION

CHOOSING A SCOPE

To start let's not get hung up on magnification. You will find that everyone has some kind of advice on how much magnification you will need for a certain rifle/caliber. You will hear.... “you won’t need any more than 4 times power on a .22 rim fire rifle”.....well rubbish to that. Everyone has an opinion based on their own situation/experience or what they like and what they do.......read more about choosing a rifle scope.

RIFLE SCOPES OVERVIEW

(FOV): Field of View. Quality Optics offer a good field of view. This is what your view is when looking through the rifle scope. Normally when looking at specifications of a rifle scope FOV is stated as to how many feet of width you will be able to see when the object or target is a 100 yards away.......read more about rifle scopes

ZEROING A RIFLE SCOPE

The difference between an amateur and a professional is dedicated study, practice and experience. A professional also has focus with a willing mental attitude to the task he or she performs. So start out now and adopt a professional attitude to the task of handling, using, firing and zeroing in your rifle scope.......read more about zeroing a rifle scope

SURE KILL ACCURACY

Your rifle caliber and the expected range of your quarry/target will determine at what range you should zero your scope. You know the approximate range, where and what you intend to hunt. It would be a bit silly to zero your scope in at 50 yards and try and hit a target at 300 yards........read more about sure kill accuracy

RIFLE SCOPE MOUNTING

Deer ImageIt is important at this stage to make sure that the front and rear rings are perfectly in line. If they are not in line and you crank up on the lock nuts you can end up damaging your rifle scope. After you have attached the rings to your rifle and are happy with the alignment, tighten up the ring lock nuts.......read more about rifle scope mounting

NIGHT VISION

As night vision was developed primarily for the military, the use of night vision devices was previously restricted. Hunters and those wishing to use night vision products have not long had the privilege of use.

If you have not used night vision then it could be said that you have been left in the dark. Being able to see at night will open up a new world of opportunity for you.......read more about night vision
